As per
question one, the majority of the respondents (accounted for 80%) answered they
were not smokers, whereas the minority 20% reportedly were. This clearly shows
that the majority of the respondents are not smokers, whereas the minority do.
In
question two “if you are a smoker when you did start smoking?”-the majority of
the respondents accounted at 70% indicated they were not a smoker, this was
followed by the second majority accounted at 20% who stated they started
smoking when they were young, finally followed by the minority (accounted at
10%) when I got older. From the given statistics this clearly shows that the
majority were not smokers, whereas there was a minority who were smoking
especially at a young age.
In the
third question “How often do you smoke a day?”- the majority of the respondents
(70%) chose the ‘name’ option, followed by the minority accounted for 30% (more
than 3 times a day) and finally the last option ‘3 times a day’ was not
answered by any respondent. From these findings, they clearly highlight that
the majority of the respondents is not smoking, whereas the minority was
reported to be smoking for more than three times a day.
According
to question four ‘Have you tried to quit smoking’? - The majority of the
respondents opted for the ‘not a smoker’ category (70%), this was followed by
the minority of ‘Yes’ (accounted at 20%) and lastly the minority accounted at
10% (No). From these given findings, they illustrate that the majority of the
respondents are non-smokers with the minority have tried to quit smoking, but a
lower minority has not made an attempt to give up smoking.
The
last question, titled: “Did you face any health problems due to smoking?”- the
majority of the respondents accounted for 80% opted for a ‘not a smoker’ category.
This was followed by the minority of respondents who were identically shared by
the ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ option where they were accounted at 10% each. From these findings,
it clearly highlights that the majority of the respondents were non-smokers
therefore the idea of giving up smoking did not apply to them. On the other
hand, the minority of the respondents at 10% did face problems with health
problems in relation to smoking and the same statistics applied for those who
did not experience any problem with health.
